The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award honours the extraordinary contribution to strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship within the educational sector.
The DSEB Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award is based on nominations from individuals at management level in educational institutions, enterprises, organisations, etc., or candidates may apply in person. If applying for the award in person, the application must be accompanied by a recommendation from the applicant’s manager. The DSEB Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award of DKK 100,000 is awarded once a year to an individual or institution judged to have made a special effort to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education, upper secondary education, or vocational training in Denmark.
Purpose
The award is intended for studies abroad or for cross-geographical collaborative projects to further develop either higher education, upper secondary education, or vocational training in Denmark.
Criteria
The DSEB Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award is granted to initiatives whose activities will serve as a good example in the future work with innovation and entrepreneurship in the educational sector. The award rewards extraordinary efforts that go beyond what can be expected from educational institutions based on legal requirements and educational policy provisions. Initiatives receiving the award will typically be of a significant strategic nature, describing how this has led to enhanced competences within innovation and entrepreneurship in the respective educational environment. This could be through activities which:
- At institutional level, have contributed to promoting students', learners', or teachers' leaning competences within innovation and entrepreneurship
- Have resulted in new teaching methods incorporating innovation and entrepreneurship into learning and inspiring students to further explore the area
- Have resulted in students or learners being encouraged to set up their own innovative enterprises
- Have had both short- and long-term effects within the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Candidates and nomination procedure
The DSEB Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award can be awarded based on nominations from individuals at management level in educational institutions, enterprises, organisations, etc., or it can be applied for in person. If applying in person, the application must be accompanied by a recommendation from the applicant’s manager.

The deadline for nominations is the 6. october.
Call
The award is handed out in november.
One year after receiving the award, recipients must send in a short 1–2-page description of the new knowledge or new activities, the award has allowed them to pursue
