Personal data

As a natural part of being a website provider, DSEB will, as data controller, collect and process certain personal data about users of their website. Via the website, DSEB will collect and process the following personal data:

DSEB collects and processes personal data about you because of DSEB’s legitimate interest in processing your personal data, and DSEB’s interest in processing your personal data is judged to outweigh your interest.

DSEB’s legitimate interest comprises processing personal data for the purpose of (i) despatching newsletters or (ii) collecting membership information when specifically requested by you, and (iii) registering and coordinating data in connection with seminars/events. Certain data are collected by means of cookies, see section 2 below.

All personal data are confidential and will solely be used for the purposes mentioned above.

DSEB makes use of third-party IT service suppliers, who will be accessing and processing your personal data on behalf of DSEB. In the event of a third-party IT service supplier processing your personal data outside the EU/EEC, this will either be done in accordance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard rules of the European Commission. You can request a copy of the agreement governing the transfer of personal data by writing to Tobias Høygaard Lindeberg, deputy chief executive, e-mail

DSEB will not store your personal data for longer than will be necessary to meet the above requirements. Unless DSEB, in compliance with relevant legislation, has been directed to store your personal data for a longer period, DSEB will store your personal data as required by the specific purpose, including (i) despatching newsletters, until you cancel your subscription, (ii) from the time of registering as a member until you/your organisation cancel(s) the membership, or (iii) registering and coordinating data in connection with an event until max. six months after the event took place. Personal data collected by cookies are deleted as specified in section 2.

According to the personal data protection legislation, you have the following rights:
