Economist and governmental advisor becomes new chairman of the Tietgen Award

Jakob Roland Munch has been appointed new chairman of the Tietgen Award, one of the most significant awards for young talented researchers in Scandinavia.

Jakob Roland Munch, professor of economics at the University of Copenhagen and a new member of the presidency of the Danish Economic Councils, has been appointed to lead the work of identifying and honouring young research talents.

These talents, through critical and original research in business-oriented humanities and social sciences, have made a difference to the Danish business community.

Torben Möger Pedersen, chair of the DSEB board (Danish Society for Education and Business), the organization behind the award, is pleased with Jakob Roland Munch’s appointment and acknowledges his significant contributions to research in international trade, globalization, and labour–market economics.

The Tietgen Award is awarded annually and carries a value of DKK 500,000.
