Find out more about DSEB’s data policy and how we process personal data. We take very seriously our duty to process personal data systematically and safely. The protection of personal data and the rights and integrity of individuals is of major concern to DSEB.
DSEB collects personal data via the website www.dseb.dk – always in accordance with applicable law and guidelines.

Personal data
As a natural part of being a website provider, DSEB will, as data controller, collect and process certain personal data about users of their website. Via the website, DSEB will collect and process the following personal data:
- E-mail address, name, title, and organisation when subscribing to newsletters, registering as a member of DSEB, or registering to attend events via the website
- Anonymised IP-address
- Information about your browser and type of device as well as your activities on the website
DSEB collects and processes personal data about you because of DSEB’s legitimate interest in processing your personal data, and DSEB’s interest in processing your personal data is judged to outweigh your interest.
DSEB’s legitimate interest comprises processing personal data for the purpose of (i) despatching newsletters or (ii) collecting membership information when specifically requested by you, and (iii) registering and coordinating data in connection with seminars/events. Certain data are collected by means of cookies, see section 2 below.
All personal data are confidential and will solely be used for the purposes mentioned above.
DSEB makes use of third-party IT service suppliers, who will be accessing and processing your personal data on behalf of DSEB. In the event of a third-party IT service supplier processing your personal data outside the EU/EEC, this will either be done in accordance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard rules of the European Commission. You can request a copy of the agreement governing the transfer of personal data by writing to Tobias Høygaard Lindeberg, deputy chief executive, e-mail thl@dea.nu.
DSEB will not store your personal data for longer than will be necessary to meet the above requirements. Unless DSEB, in compliance with relevant legislation, has been directed to store your personal data for a longer period, DSEB will store your personal data as required by the specific purpose, including (i) despatching newsletters, until you cancel your subscription, (ii) from the time of registering as a member until you/your organisation cancel(s) the membership, or (iii) registering and coordinating data in connection with an event until max. six months after the event took place. Personal data collected by cookies are deleted as specified in section 2.
According to the personal data protection legislation, you have the following rights:

- Complaints. Should you wish to lodge a complaint about DSEB’s processing of your personal data, please contact the Danish Data Protection Agency.
Cookies

Cookies from DSEB
When you visit our website, DSEB deposits cookies on your computer to optimise your experience of the website and to register user behaviour for statistical purposes. Our website uses both permanent cookies and temporary, so-called session cookies, which are deleted once you leave the website.

DSEB has permitted third parties to deposit cookies on your computer when visiting our website.
DSEB uses Google Analytics, which stores and accesses cookies on our website for the purpose of (i) generating statistics of user visits to DSEB’s website, including traffic to and from the website and (ii) optimising user friendliness and functionality, including user behaviour.
Our website does not use Facebook Pixel.
The use of cookies may, due to the technical set up of the website, result in users’ IP addresses being collected and processed by Google Analytics. However, DSEB will only receive this data in masked form, where certain parts of the IP address are anonymised and cannot therefore be traced back to a specific computer.
